Default New PL install on a Vista Computer

Bob
My XP computer that I have been happily run PL on for many years has died. I have a nice Vista Toshiba that has just been updated by Best Buy. My questions are: (1) Is the latest PL software for Vista located in the Full Throttle Sticky: Latest PowerLogger Software and User manuals !! UPDATED for Win7? The reason I ask is because two posts later in the same sticky is the post titled: New USB drivers and you state "This driver should clean up a lot of the Vista issues". (2) A friend has offered me an XP computer. He and I have exactly the same setup including TurboTweak 6.0 chip and other components. My question is: what is the procedure to connect this computer to the PL in my car. (3) Based on your experience with Vista and Win7, would you recommend that I forget about the Vista computer that I mentioned above but rather procure a Win7 computer for PL? (4) Finally, do you know if the PL files on my old computer can be transferred (by a Best Buy Geek, for instance) to its replacement computer so that I can view my PL history?
Thanks for your consideration. BTW, several years ago I worked with you regarding the first production 2Step's wiring problem. You said then "I owe you one".

Re question #2 in the reference post.
You can omit an answer to my question #2. However, I would appreciate your answers to questions #1 and #3.
Thanks,
Leon
