Edit: Have another look!

Run the latest version of Tunerpro RT from their website.

Look here for the latest wiring diagrams for our Supras: http://supra.fadingworld.com/Electrical/

The pdf's in the supra section on here are a little outdated. They work, but there are better ways of doing it.

Awesome!!! I stand happily corrected! :-)

Some confusion might still remain from the quick setup guide for the supra, which is still at 4.4 . I can help update that if needed.

I have started trying to update the quick-start guides.

If you can lend a hand that would be great.

Thanks

Bob

Here's the updated Quick Setup doc I made for the Supra. Comments and Suggestions are welcome.

I hope this helps some people!

there are a few changes, the most important would be the Boost enrichment in the response menu.

It adds enrichment as boost is rising and throttle is above 1.5 volts.

You might want to give 5.03 a try, as the response stuff is somewhat smoother.

Thanks,

Bob

I'd love to upgrade, but my Supra will be in storage for the next two months or so... it's still cold and snowing up here.

Actually, I was planning to jump straight to 5.11 so I can do boost-sensitive timing control.

In the meantime, does anyone have a recommended value for Boost enrichment for our Supras that I can put in the quick setup doc?

EDIT: I just found a huge missing point in the quick setup doc... that is to use VE Table #2! So I'll definitely be posting an update.

a good starting point for boost enrichment is the same as MAP enrichment.

VE table 2 for stock cams, ve table 1 for moderate cams.

I need to work on a table for agressive cams.

Note that the act of changing the setting of the VE table will over-write any VE table changes that you may have made.

I have updated the pdf accordingly. The current recommendation for MAP Enrich (and hence Boost Enrich) is 0.40, which might be a little on the high side.

Just so I'm clear on this... are you saying that if I make a change to VE Table #1, and then switch to Table #2..... when I go back to Table #1, that change will be gone? I.E. the table will always reset to the pre-programmed values?

Or, just that when I change Tables, any changes I made to the other tables are not applied to the new table (I'd hope not!).

Here is what happens:

There is really only 1 VE table in the unit. When you change the selection in the config menu you are loading a set of data into the VE table.

So if you select VE table 1, you load the #1 presets into the table.

If you then use tunerpro to tune the VE table, the changes would get overwritten if you change the Config menu setting.

Is this clearer?
