Default Logging with a Gen-II

The low cost datalogging solution for the Gen-II uses the logging features of the shareware program TunerPro. This is the same software used to interface with the MAF Translator Pro, and requires a little re-configuration to use with the Gen-II.

Step 1: Get the pieces:
Order the Translator Pro communication cable from Full Throttle Speed, P/N 050TPROCABLE.
Download the Tunerpro RT software from the www.fullthrottletech.com forum. Registering the software is encouraged but not required for use.
Download the MG0010.ADS file from the www.fullthrottletech.com board

Step 2: Install and configure:
Install the Tunerpro software using the default folder selection.
Copy the MG0010.ADS file to c:\ProgramFiles\Tunerpro RT\datastreams
Launch Tunerpro and configure it.
Use the View/Toolbars menu selection to turn off all toolbars except RT, ALDL and ALDL Logging
Use View/Hide Item List to turn off the Item lists on the left side of the screen.
Use Tools/Preferences – ALDL Emulation tab.
Uncheck all boxes except “Load last Definition on startup” and "Detect Hardware at Startup"
Select “Translator Pro” for interface type.
Use the ALDL Setup page to load the MG0010.ADS file (this defines the communication with the Gen-II, and the display characteristics) Also set a default filename for Logging (logs are saved as “sessions” in this file)

Step 3: Logging:
The Autodetect button in the toolbar is used to detect the Gen-II
The double arrow button starts the communication
The Logging works like a VCR, with Record play and pause. Each log is saved as a "session" in your selected logfile.
The D button is a Dashboard and displays 6 numeric fields
The M button is a Monitor, and displays 4 running graphs
Right click on the display areas to select the data to be displayed there.
